Me and the wife just got our first house. We're still in so cal but out in san jacinto it's a 1929 craftsman raised foundation. And yesterday I was thinking will a raised floor an old one handle my safe getting put on it or should I reinforce below to keep it from damaging the home

Crawl under the house and look where you want to put the safe. Some California houses weren't built to the highest standards. If your floor joist are 2x4 on 24" centers you may have a problem. If there is any doubt in your mind strut the area under the safe. 2x6, 2x8 on the ground, treated, 4x4 struts 3/4" plywood or 2x6 under floor joists. Should be able to support the heaviest safe.

You are in my general neighborhood. I would reinforce the area from below where the safe is going.

Look around underneath and see what joist sizes and spans you have, then go here (http://www.southernpine.com/span-tables/joists-rafters/) and look through the tables until you find a joist and span close to what you have. That will give you an idea of what the floor will hold.
