I have two young children (both under 2) and a small house. I like to get up early before work and need something quite to do besides drink coffee and look at the wall.

I just received this in the mail today. It looks to be in great shape and I am ready to dive in.

I would like to thank you guys for turning me onto Elmer's writing. I really like reading hunting stories and am looking forward to this book.

Any other suggestions for when I get done with this one?

Sixguns By Keith is one of the all time classics. Even if you're not all that interested in handguns, his writing style and the flow of anecdotes will keep you turning the pages.

Thanks. I'll keep my eye out for it!

Gun Notes - basically a bunch of his columns from a gun mag compiled into
a book. A bit disjointed, since they are monthly columns, and necessarily short,
but still good info in general.

Another great read is "Yours Truly Harvey Donaldson".

When the Handloader magazine first came out Harvey told many stories about the folks he shot with, calibers he worked with etc.

Reading his book is like sitting around a campfire and listening to someone that REALLY was there.
