Hi,
Thats a nice one! I'm out at $450,but at my age a press like that sitting in a stall at the Flea Market with a $50 price tag would make my heart go "pitter patter" more than just about anything else!!!

Super Cool but more than a tad pricey.

Usually at a gun show, I will act somewhat uninterested while looking at something, and will always offer less than what they ask. One somewhat like that one showed up, when he priced it at 250, I was just looking around making sure nobody was getting their money out faster than I was. lol I had to carry it 1/4 of a mile or so, and might have made some one a deal on it before I got it to my pickup. lol

I don't know the going prices on the different models, mine might be worth the same as that one, or more or even less, but it was worth it to me.

I have a 12-station Model-II for sale I restored. It comes with both size primer arms and a universal shell holder. Cast iron, it operates smoothly.

I don't want much for it ($450) as I need to make room. I won't ship it (too heavy), but will meet the buyer half-way (I live in NE Ohio). First come, first served.

Kevin, if you have not been to Whitehorse or Watson Lake, you really need to go. :) It is really pretty this time of year.

Pricey is relative. What can you buy ( quality ) for $450. With a little cleaning, that press will stay in service indefinitely. In 1956, that press would have cost you $213.50 with one die set. A Ford could be had new for $1700 back then. My guess is the cost of that press today would cost $2500. My $0.02 !!

Hi,
This is true! This equipment was VERY expensive originally! I remember in the early 60's as a kid, I wanted a bike for $40 and it was not for certain that was going to happen, as $40 was a lot of money back then!

According to the Inflation Calculator, $213.50 in 1956 dollars is almost $1870 in today's inflated currency.

You could get a perfectly serviceable "C" press for 12 or 13 bucks back then.

I thought about that Bentrod, but that press could not be reproduced at a profit for that today. Maybe because the cost of labor has gone up exponentially. Labor is the main issue in anything today. I miss the old days !!!

Hi,
The best single stage in my opinion is the cast STEEL RCBS A2 made in the 50/60's! I don't know what they cost originally but sale today for about half what this Hollywood Turret went for on the Bay ($500)!

My first press was a Bonanza Co-Ax for $150 and even then (80"s) I had to put it on lay-away to afford it!!!
