30-30 marlin and H 4895

Found powder! It was on the shelf in my back room that I forgot about, near full 8# so I had a few cases ready to go and loaded 10 with 25 gr. I used my home made 187 gr boolit at 100 yards. I did not bother working loads, not enough brass done.
First 5 were with a Fed 210 and I got 1-1/2" with 4 shots, first was a little high left.
I then shot 5 with Fed 155 LP primers and I like it. The group exactly mirrors cross hair movement since I hold the forearm and can't hold still. 119696

Nice work. I like AR2206H (H4895) a good deal, a very versatile powder as using the Hodgdon 60% rule you can arrive at a cast load for anything with H4895 jacketed data.
Only 50metres with aperture sights and with a lighter bullet:

What is the Hodgon 60% rule? For a same weight cast bullet, use 60% of the powder weight in rains for a jacketed bullet?

Want to understand as it sounds very useful.

Why do I get better with a LP mag primer? Might it be what I find with the .44 using a mag primer? Too much push to move a boolit too soon?
Cast with lube will move easy in the brass compared to jacketed.
Yet my work in the .44 with 296 WAS with jacketed bullets for IHMSA. The Fed 150 allowed me to shoot 40's most of the time so I carried it over to cast. Found cast is more touchy and needs even more even case tension. Lube must never be too slick or tension will be broken too soon.
Tried many powders in the 30-30 but find 3031 and 4895 to work and Varget will but I ran out.
No way I will ever go back to Unique, 2400, etc. I can throw boolits better.
The 30-30 pistol in 10" loved 4759 but It is not as good in the rifle. Still needs some work though.
