I got 100 of these,but,they are 44 cal. bullets in a 50 cal. muzzle loader!!!!!!!!! I don't have 44 Cal. bullets?????
I ordered the wrong sabots,so:
A. Should i get a Lee 44 cal mould? If so which one?
B.See if some one here has any soft cast 44 bullets to sell?
C. Throw them into a drawer and forget about them!
D.See if some one here may have a use for them?
I know, but being dumb is sorta fun!

Sell them to someone on here and order the ones you need.

Go with "B."
It's only 100 boolits that you need. Buy a few from somebody and have fun with em! I'm not sure what your original intent was, for the sabots. With sabots you will always be shooting a smaller caliber boolit in a larger caliber rifle. (Just FYI in case you don't have any experience with them)

IMO: Buy these. (link) Combo bullets that come with their sabot. Far and away better than anything Harvester or T/C makes. I've been shooting these for years and years and have absolutely no regrets. As far as what you already have (bare sabot's) Buy a box of SWC all lead pistol bullets for there loadings. But before you do. Determine what bullet weight it is you want to shoot. 44s do come in many different bullets weights.

NO, NO. Your attitude is all wrong! This is your perfect excuse to buy a 44 revolver! You have the sabots, you need the boolits so you need a mold or two, and ... . My best friend shoots his with sabots and his 44 Mag boolits - I started casting them for him and then he went out and bought a casting outfit and molds for himself. His rifle is the Lyman. Very accurate and deadly with those boolits.

If the sabots are 50 caliber, why can't you get a 45 in them and down the barrel. I use harvester sabots with a Keith pattern .45, in a .50 and it shoots fine. Are the walls too thick to use a 45?

the most reliable and easy on the pocketbook are mmp sabots. they come in three sizes for the .50 cal. they have them to shoot a .44 bullet, a.451 bullet and a .458 bullet. they also dont charge for shipping. also in bulk you get a 20 percent discount. my sons inline uses a .451 bullet 250 grain in a heavy duty mmp sabot for that bullet. my target side lock uses a .orange mmp sabot and a .459 bullet. my son get 2200 ft. per sec out of his barrel. i only go for around 1400 ft per sec for target. good luck and have fun.

Harvester Sabots are the go to item for 2 of my rifles, my TC Omega will shoot a ragged hole, with them and the .45 scorpion ballistic tip 260grain bullet at 100yds!
