has any one built either of these actions from the de hass books any tips comments or advise

I had the opportunity to actually view up close ( not handle ) the very actions that deHass showed in his books. They appeared to have been very well made, solid is a good word and I doubt if they could have been blown up even if one tried. The only objection I could see was they were quite heavy and bulky, very blocky one might say. They were what one might call a proof of concept type of action but because of the weight and bulkiness they may have been only suited for bench work. deHass actually came up with the winner in the deHass Miller action. I think it was a little bit of everything he had learned along the way and the final design he settleled on has yet to be beaten in my book.
