I mentioned to Catshooter I would post some pics of my RCBS Case Counter for the AmmoMaster progressive.Hopefully I can use it when I receive my modern case activated linkgage next week.

Cheese1566, that looks like a great setup and knowing what I know about the case activated powder drop mechanism, you can easily modify your activation arm you have attached to the cylinder or use part of the mechanism of the CAPD to activate the case counter. Shouldn't be hard at all.

It's an old RCBS factory unit I found it lurking a few years ago in a gun shop. It is as new in the box. I snatched it up and have never found any further info on it on the internet.

Thanks cheese. That is a cool unit.

What is the die that is in position #4? Funny looking thing, I usually use that position for seating. The rod sticking out of the die doesn't look like it's fixed in place.

That's my RCBS lock out die. After using one, I won't run a pistol progressive without it.

+1 for the RCBS Lock-Out Die. Excellent piece of kit.

Ah ha. No wonder I didn't recognize it, never seen one before. Thanks.

Had one of those on one of my Ammomasters but when I went to the new linkage type powder drop I didn't bother to put it back on.....the only thing I used it for was to keep track of the primers used so now instead I just run a small wooden dowel in the tube with a mark on it...works.....that new linkage setup makes the Ammomaster so much better to use than the old "swinging pendulum of death" system they came with you'll no longer even read the battles going on about the "best" progressive presses (Hornady LNL, Dillon 650, or even the RCBS Pro 2000) anymore .....because you will now own it :bigsmyl2:......pretty hard to find a progressive press that you can setup to auto index, manual index, or change it over to huge single stage that will resize a 50BMG and can load anything that takes standard dies progressively.....

The next time I'm loading 45-70 in my Ammomaster (progressively, of course) I'm going to post a pic of it here. I think it looks rather cool.
