Friends, the only bulk 32 cal bullets that I could find are 115 gr rnfp beveled base for the 32-20. I didn't have a lot of luck loading my cast lee 100 gr bullets in the 327 at moderate velocities. Plus I got lazy. :???:
So, does anyone have a powder recommendation and load weight for a 115gr bullet? These are Chey cast brand bullets. I am looking for moderate loads for maybe herco or unique but I also have h110 and aa7 and aa9. My problem is that I don't have the exact bullet profile in my Quick load program and most data out there is for jacketed bullets.
I guess that I could use a 32 magnum load but maybe a few here have a safe favorite combo?
:)

I've owned 3 different 327 revolvers and will have one of the new Lipsey Rugers next week. I do not load down 327. If I want "down" I shoot 32 Magnum or 32 Long. I cast and load Lyman 311316 exclusively for my 327 revolvers. I size .313 and GC. Great combination; eager to try it in the new Ruger Single 7.

Well I decided on 5 grains of Unique. That should give me around 1000 to 1100 fps. As near as I could come with QL was a 6.1 max charge at around 1300. So I'll start at 5 to be safe. 5 is also over max for the 32HR in one of my books. These .313 sized bullets are not very tight in the cylinder throats and are a beveled base no gas check. .312 will drop easily through. I did measure them too. It will be next week at the earliest for when I can shoot them and will run the chrono.

You can try powder coating those LEE bullets. They drop at .312, powder coating gets them to .314 and I am shooting them unsized then.
You can zip them pretty good then. Accuracy is very good like this.
Shooting them in all my 32's.
The only problem I had with the LEE 100 gr bullet was volume.
Two cavity is not enough to keep up. ( I ordered a box of 32-20 bullets too) Now I am waiting on a 5 cavity mold from accurate molds to keep up.

I tested a 327 load that shoots in my SP101 in my new Ruger Single Seven and it shows real promise. The data is from the Hodgdon website. Bullet 311008 and the powder is SR4756 (Hodgdon's max). More testing to come along with some other loads.

Not a 327 Federal reloader here, but Whit's info above reminds me that my single-best powder for 32-20 WCF revolver loads has been SR-4756 using 115-120 grain bullets.
