I found my 38 S&W lee dies after being mia since the flood. I was cleaning and inspecting them and found they sent a 380 auto sizing and decaping die with the set. Is this the correct die? The others are marked with a K- and the but the size is markedG-9?

I would think that it would be the wrong die. The case month of the 38S&W is .014 larger than the 380.

The .38 S&W cartridge is .3863 in the middle, and .3855 at the mouth (OD), the .38 Super
is considered pretty much interchangeable at .384 cylindrical, but the .380 is .3739 at the
rear, and .3731 near the mouth, taper of .0009. .38 S&W has a taper of .0008, both are less
than .001 so pretty close to irrelevant. This info is from the diam of the three cartridges on
SAAMI prints,.

No big problem interchanging .38 Super/Auto or .38 S&W (NOT Special) since the difference is
only around .001 - no big deal, but the .380 is almost .010 too big, so no go.

If marked .380 ACP or .380 Auto, you have the wrong die, or at least one marked wrong.

I just checked my 15 year old set of .38 S&W Lee dies and the sizing die body is marked LEE 38 AUTO H2. In this fashion no decimals or extra 0's. H2 is just a run/lot designation and means nothing.

My .38 S&W came with a 9mm Makarov sizer and expander. Works fine.

My 38 S&W Lee dies came with a 38 Auto sizing die, works well. Not 380
