A friend lost his pilot for .270, Hornady doesn't fit. Any ideas where to look? He really doesn't want to buy a new trimmer. Thanks, Flyer

Know anyone with a lathe? Making one is very simple, in a pinch it could even be done using a drill press.

I was going to suggest that as well, but lathe time isn't cheap and yes it's a real simple thing to make.

If you can get the id measurment i can tell you if a Foster or Lyman would work. Might be able to get close enough with a drill bit if proper tooling is not available.
If it is the old trimmer that uses standard shell holders I think Forster pilots will fit.
