Twice in the last week I have had shooters with a whole pile of parts trying to get their Martini's back together

1. Remove the breech block pivot pin

2. With the lever closed and the action uncocked, push down on the front of the block and it will "pop out". The lever may require a little bit of gentle movement but not too much.

3. Installation is the reverse paying attention to the following, close the lever and pull the trigger so that the tumbler is in the forward most position. Insert the block and push down on the rear pivot

4. Close the lever fully and replace the breech block pivot pin!

For those of us that shoot black powder and cast boolits, this proceedure allows cleaning throughly after each shoot! :Fire:

BAW, thank you for that bit of info. I have one I built up back in '69 using an Ackley barrel chambered in 30/40AI. Always stripped everything out thru the bottom for cleaning, this is much simpler. You'd like this one, consistently puts 3 180gr RN in a dime size hole if I do my part. GW

One addition: if the breechblock is very hard to snap into position when reassembling the action, check to make sure that the firing pin isn't installed upside down ..the slot in the firing pin for the tumbler is wider on the bottom than on the top..that's why there is a screwdriver slot on the end of the firing pin so that you can rotate it 180 degrees if needed.

BAW, I had the same problem with a martini I have. Guys would give instructions, links to you tube videos. You name it. Spent a couple days trying to re install the breech block. Decided to let it go for a few days and try again. Long story short I did manage to get it reassembled. Did loose some grey hair though. Frank
