I have had this older Saeco melter for many years. I am in need for some advise on a new heat resistant new made wire and Heat resistant Plug. Any suggestions for the job
Thanks

First thought would be a replacement cord and plug for a clothes iron.

Look for HPN code on cord and might even say for Heater use. I use internal wire and connectors from the appliance store for self cleaning ovens. I actually scavenge the wire with connectors from self cleaners.

I have some high temp wire that I use for mine. Also changed to ceramic blanket insulation. I bought my wire on eBay. A smaller gauge then 10 would probably work too. There are also high temp butt connectors on eBay also. Good luck, Tom

There is wire that has a high temperature insulation. It is used in the mining industry. I second the insulation sleeves on the wires. Another consideration is the wire terminals. The heat "tempers" the terminals soft and they become loose causing more heat.
