Hello Folks,

Some revolvers from the S&W Performance Center have "PC Trigger with Trigger Stop" and "PC Tuned Action" in the product description. Others say "PC Tuned Action" only. For the example, the Model 629 Stealth Hunter has both items, while the Model 629 Comped Hunter has only the tuned action description. Also, the Model 629 Comped Hunter has a trigger stop.

Will someone please explain what the two descriptions mean and the difference between them? What specifically is done to the guns?

Thanks, Tom

My PC 627 came with both. The trigger stop is a roll pin imbedded in the back of the trigger and adjusted to hit the frame shortly after single action let off. The action work was polishing of the rebound slide, clipping coils off the rebound spring and slight re-arching of the mainspring to lower pull weight. The gun was very smooth and reliable with all primers in factory form.
