Advertised on another site's WTB for foreends for 16 and 12 gauge Iver Johnsons.

The 12 was my Granddad's and somewhere/somehow the forend metal "pivot" disappeared. The 16 has no sentimental value but has no forestock at all !

Guy replied almost immediately saying he had both for $100 but would only take Moneygram. I see Walmart does 'em, but unlike PayPal, there is no recourse if the receiver gets his money and doesn't send you anything !

I offered to send USPS MO for $55(for one of 'em), he didn't even reply.
Maybe he was straight up, but I feel like I dodged a hundred dollar boolit.

They are iffy, no recourse as you mentioned, have been counterfeited, and anytime someone asks for a specific form of payment like that scares me off. He may have been talking about a Western Union Moneygram, never ever use them they are almost always a scammer.

I would try Numrich or Boyd's. I wouldn't deal with someone who ignored by contact attempts. Once he gets your money he most likely won't be any better.
