Can someone tell me if the Bonanza benchrest seater die is the same as the current Forster benchrest seater die?
TIA

I've had a few sets of them and if I remember correctly the only difference was the bonanza seaters were not blued and the Forsters were.

The Bonanza and the Forster standard benchrest die are the same.

Forster also makes a micrometer adjustable version called the Ultra seater.
The Ultra has a different thimble on top and a different seater punch. There is a big premium for the ultra. I think the older Bonanza benchrest seaters are an excellent deal for many varmint calibers.
They were also made for a number of unusual calibers that are not available in the current line.

So if you want a genuine benchrest die in 6.5 Jap, 7.7 Jap, 6.5 X 54 Mannlicher Schoenauer, .32 Winchester Special or .219 Zipper they are out there.

Bonanza and Forster, top of the line seating dies. For the money and even for a lot more money, you cannot get a better seating die or even one as good.
