Well I went to the range yesterday to see how I would do shooting off hand in this coming weekend's muzzle loader matches. I shot a couple off the cross sticks at 50 yards to make sure the aiming was as I remembered and at that distance I set the steel animal right on top of the sights and it hits exactly in the center. This is with the very light weight Hawken "mountain gun" that I got from Doug Knoell and is very light weight!
So I shot a string of ten shots and all were at bulls eye level within an inch or two right or left of the target center! I was sort of tired out after that but really happy so maybe I'll do okay this weekend?!
