I have chipped the extractor on my .375 to the point it no longer will remove a case from the chamber. This is the push feed design and I'm trying to find a replacement for it. I checked Brownells with no luck. Any ideas where I might find one?

The ones that Numrich show having in stock are for the standard bolt face (.473") and I may have to order one of these and see if it will work with the larger cartridge rim.

I tried Wisner's - no luck. I'll try Vintage; thanks for the tip!

Hope you find one. They are kind of like the Rem 721 extractors, scarce as hen's teeth, yet so important for repair of not-that-old rifles!

I had the same problem with a push feed 70 in 375 HH. It would extract but not reliably enough for the purpose of the rifle.

I was also tempted to try a standard radius extractor but decided against it. I looked high and low in all the usual places including calling some well known "suppliers" who couldn't care less.

I finally stopped by an older gun store/gunsmith shop while traveling (about 250 miles from where I live). I've known the owner for 40 years. He said, "wait a second, let me look in this box of small odds/ends". Sure enough he pulled out a NOS M70 push feed mag extractor and said, "that'll be $5". The moral of the story is they are where you find them. And if you're going to keep the rifle for any length of time and do find one, it wouldn't hurt to buy 2.

Have you tried Winchester?

Worth a try to call them, but the file is dated 2008. I don't know what the pre-FNH parts support is like with current FNH Winchester.

Here's a screen shot of the part- namely the mag extractor. It's on page 43 of the pdf file.

That article was about the claw extracter, but in looking at the parts blow up of your gun that should be a very easy to make part for your gun and there are some awesome metal workers on this forum that could make that for you( get 2 of them)!

Just saw your post and thanks! I'll order 2 of these RASCALS and keep one to stick in the rifle and immediately sell it. It is a very accurate rifle, but the push feed action is pathetic; one round might chamber and the next jump out of the feed rails and fall into the mud. Bought this thing when I was nineteen back in '72 and didn't know any better.

Please post results if you do get them and your experience with Winchester. The last time I used them for small parts was well before FNH. At that time such direct sales were handled through a division of the Browning US office.
