My My Pin PID arrived today. This is the replacement for the 220v Rex C100. I have added two 110v led lights to the case.
The red one is connected to the output of the SSR. This will come on when the SSR is activated. Works great!

The green one is connected to the alarm 1 on the back of the PID. This green led does not turn on when the alarm 1 value has been reached. Is the alarm 1 not out putting 110v?

I still need to figure out how set alarm 1 to turn on when my set value temperature has been reached plus or minus 10 degrees.

Any ideas on how I can resolve these two issues?

I figured it out. To get the led to work, I had to jump the 1 and 6. Then connect the led to 2 and 5. The Alarm 1 acts as a switch.

I also had to set "AL1" to 10 and "A_2" to 5 (SV-PV < AL1 alarm). Works great now.

This Mypin PID is so much better than the REX C100. Won't be too long till I start my first casting.

That wasn't an LED, it would have blown up. It was a neon bulb, big difference. A neon operates on 110v and that's what you gave it through the alarm relay.

I also had to set "AL1" to 10 and "A_2" to 5 (SV-PV < AL1 alarm).

It was A_1 that you set to 5, which instructed alarm 1 to come on when the pot is within 10deg (your AL1 setting) of the set point. I have mine set the same way, but +/-15deg is my 'good' window.

You are right. It is not a led. On Ebay, they have it listed as a mini pilot light. What do you have your temperature set to? I am thinking of setting mine to 720 degrees.

Fwiw I have mine set between 700 and 720 depending on the mold and alloy

Me too, at least as a starting point that doesn't change much. Days ago I lowered it to around 650 for some 230gr 452s, 6 cavity. I'm getting the feeling that the relationship of lead temp to mold temp plays a big part, not just the absolute temps.
