i don't know about full-sized, but the Beretta 84 is certainly bigger than most. They are the most reliable .380's available, at least in my experience, and I heartily recommend them. Taurus made a clone, the PT-58, as did browning, but I've not seen either advertised for a while. If you live outside Commiefornia, NY, or a few other hoplophobic states, they come with 13 round magazines.

The standard Bersa Thunder .380 is a pretty big pistol for this cartridge. It's actually bigger than the Walther PPK/S. Great shooter too!

Didn't Glock have a full size also?

+1 for the Bersa Thunder. Might be a small stretch to call it "Full Sized"

What you are looking for is a Browning Model 1971.

How about getting a standard 9mm and loading it down?

Brass is a lot easier to find.

I got a Browning BDA 380. Nice gun. It was made by Beretta. Almost the same as the Beretta 84. I have big hands and it fit mine just fine. I can shoot it and hold target with little effort.

Ruger LC380 is full size-ish.

Glock has the G-25, not generally available here in the US. It's the same size as the G-19 and is intended for sale in countries that don't allow civilian ownership of military calibers (i.e. 9 x 19)

How about a .380 makarov? Or rebarreling one to .380. I wouldnt trade mine for much of anything. Its bigger than the beretta 84 and browning bda I think.

Not full sized but a really nice shooter and classy looking pistol is the Sig 230 and 232.

Didn't Glock have a full size also?

Yes but I think they are only available to certain European markets where civilians can't own a military caliber.

The CZ 83 in .380 Auto is the gun you're looking for, and it is exactly the same gun as the CZ82 which is chambered in 9x18 Makarov.

.380 Auto is 9x17. The guns are identical except for the Barrel, and probably the recoil spring.
They are fully ambidextrous meaning the safety and mag release are either handed. Very well made pistols as are all CZ guns. Czech's make good guns period.

I have 2 CZ82's and they are great pistols. Very underrated and can be ran either DA first shot, or cocked and locked. You can make cases for the 9mm Makarov round by trimming 9mm Luger cases by .040. Easily done with a cordless drill and a Lee Case Trim tool.

Mine weighs 24.5 oz empty and the size is very close to a Glock 19. It is considered a Midsized Pistol but fits your hand like a full size.

Most all you see will be ex Czech Police issue. They were given 2 12 round magazines per year to use however they saw fit, so needless to say none of them were shot very much, however most do show holster wear to the painted finish.

Here's what mine looks like after a Cerakote job.

Very accurate guns!

Llama III or IIIa. Still kicking myself for not grabbing the one I saw locally last year. It felt like a shrunken 1911, and has a locked breech.

Got a new Hi-point .380 at a Gun Show this summer for $140. Shoots the Lee 356-102 in 1" groups at 35 ft. The CZ82 is a great .380 pistol also. The new Glock 42 is not quite a "full size" pistol but larger than the pocket sized units.

I really wish Kel Tec made the PF9 in .380. It is the perfect size and weight for that cartridge.

Plus one on the Beretta 84. A scaled down 92FS. Fun to shoot, easy to clean and fits my big hands.

Llama III or IIIa. Still kicking myself for not grabbing the one I saw locally last year. It felt like a shrunken 1911, and has a locked breech. Tex, be thankful you didn't come into position of that mini Llama. I had wanted one for decades when I was offered one for $75. There was one little problem. It would not stay cocked. I thought I could repair it with little or no trouble. Big mistake. I took the gun apart and found the only thing it shared with the 1911 was looks. What a piece of junk. The basic design is terrible. I don't see how any of them ever worked. The 1911 has a wishbone type of trigger, the mini Llama does not. After taking the gun apart and realizing it could never be fixed I sold the pistol to a friend. I told him the thing was a piece of junk and couldn't be fixed but he begged me to sell it to him. He said he talked to a gunsmith who said he could fix it. After about three months the gunsmith gave it back to my friend declaring that the pistol could not be fixed. My friend sold the pistol to someone else who said later that he fixed it. I would have to see that. The pistols are also made of steel that is about as hard as bore butter.

Browning didn't "...make a clone..."
The Browning was made by Beretta

I've a Star Model S, an 80% sized 1911
Nice feel, good shooter, 8 rd mags (got new ones still in blister packs imported by Interarms

Had an FN "Browning" 10/71
Swapped it for something in the 80's
Stoopid me!!
I really liked it, very accurate, just found 2 new Browning mags I got from a lawyer in St Louis (I think) who bought all Browning's parts supplies.
Think I need another one

If you really want a big, overbuilt 380 semi-auto pistol, find yourself a High Standard G-380. This will be as good a "full size" pistol as you could find for this caliber, a straight blow-back, all steel handful of handgun. Unfortunately only a relative few were made back in the early '50s. :(

I have shot the Browning made by Beretta and it was a fine shooting gun. Fills one hand, very comfortable and in a gun fight the 13 plus 1 rounds should end the battle with rounds to spare. The slimmer Colt 1908 to me feels what a full size 380 should feel like. I am still keeping my eyes out for an original Rem. 51 in that caliber.

The 1907 Browning a blowback pistol originally chambered for the now obsolete 9mm Browning cartridge was often converted to .380 ACP.

For what it is worth- I love my SIG P232, I'd call it more a Mid-Size than a full size.

I got to shoot a G42 yesterday, and it was sweet. Very nice handling and pretty accurate too. Very light and easily concealable. A little big for pocket carry but still possible. Works just like any other Glock. I like it.

CZ82 and 83 are in the same size range as the Browning/Berettas talked about above.

.

FWIW, Browning has now introduced a .380ACP version of their Model 1911-22, a 1911 that's 85% the size of a 1911 Government Model .45ACP.

I would thing that a CZ 82(83?) would server nicely. Apparently Commanders can successfully be rebarreled to .380 :D

OR you could wait for the new browning .380-1911 based on the 22.cal 85% size of regular 1911.

Do an internet search for a Taurus PT 58. It is kind of a slimmed down Beretta 92.

357 Astra made the model 300 in 380. This was a smaller pistol than the 400 or 600. A nice pistol and quite scarce.

High Standard G-380 and the FN 1910/22 are about as "full size" as I can think of for the round.

I love my Walther PK380. Great sights and super smooth trigger in double action, very crisp single action. Fits my hands great. Wish they'd come out with the exact same in a 9 or 40...

I'm loving my new Kahr CT-380. The Lee 356-95-RF and 356-102-2R shoot to the sights over 3.1 grains HP-38. This pistol does not like light loads, it wants 'em strong for sure function. 3.1 grains HP-38 is the max load given in my Lyman manual, and the CT-380 handles it no problem. Gonna put a few more boxes through to make sure it's good and broken in then add the CT-380 to my carry lineup.

This pistol is a real bargain too. You can get them online for $270.00 plus shipping. Think about that, Kahr for the price of Kel-Tec. I paid more than that to support my local shop, still a great bargain just the same.

If you want something different try this http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=481328808 . Unusual locking system. I had one it shot well, I just couldn't see carrying a .380 that was as big as a 9mm.
