View Full Version : Bullet Seater
.30-06 shooters, what type bullet seaters do you use/prefer? Standard 7/8x14, sliding-sleeve type or...?

For precision cast loads, use a competition (in-line) bullet seater, like the RCBS, Redding, or esp. Vickerman, in most cases you don't even have to flare your case mouths.
My reason for posting this question is this: will a precision seater for .30-06 with .308 diameter bullet accept a throat-size .312" diameter bullet? With all the different and expensive "competition" dies available I just don't want to plunk my money down for a product I won't be satisfied with.
at this time my preferences run toward the Wilson or either of the Forstners...?
