Hey guys, im ordering a lyman 525 gr slug mold and i will be using 3 inch remington hulls .
I have the lyman 5th edition shotshell manual and it gives data for a lyman 525 gr slug load in the 3 inch remington plastic with .25 black plastic basewad, my problem is that i have the 3 inch remington plastic with .20 yellow plastic basewad. the two hulls seem identical except for the basewad. Now i know that substituting any component in a shotgun load is a no no, but does that include just the basewad being different or is there a safe way to use the .25 plastic basewad data with my .20 plastic basewad hulls. Thanks for any help guys.
