Use 2.7 gr in the 30-30 and you might not have to size the necks either, depending on cases used. I don't use the 3.2 gr load until I case capacity is from the .308W to the '06. The 2.7 gr load works best in 7.62x39 to .3300 Savage capacity cases. I shot a test one time out of my Mini MK X bolt action 7.62x39 with the 2.7 gr load under the 90 gr SWC using one case to see how many shots it would take before I had to size the necks. Got bored after 50 shots and gave up. Accuracy was excellent through out all 50 shots.

Larry Gibson recommends 3.2 grains of Bullseye for the .308 Win. with the 90 grain SWC in the sticky. So with less than a pound of Bullseye left and 2 pounds of TiteGroup can TG be used in mouse phart loads. My rifle is a Savage Axis with 1:10 and 22 inch barrel.

Absolutely. Of the two, and with extensive testing with various powders, I prefer Bullseye but Titegroup will work fine. Please be looking for a comprehensive writeup of the use of 32 Smith and Wesson Long bullets in the 308 in the "my favorite cartridge" section in the next month. I've gone through nine different powders in so doing. I personally prefer charges in the 3.5 grain vicinity with Titegroup, obtaining around 1000 fps. This limits midrange trajectory and makes the load useful to 60 yards on tree squirrel, about the limits of accuracy and trajectory.

A 313492 wadcutter most would reject as "worthless" due to out of roundness was the star of the show. Also tried was the Lee .311 inch 93 and 100 grain RN's, the RCBS 98 SWC and the RCBS 98 WC as well as the Lee 90-SWC. I shot nearly 200 5 shot groups in testing that spanned much of the summer this year.

I shoot 5gr of TG under 100gr Lee with very good accuracy in my 308 issy w/ 12 twist. I haven't used BE but TG does very well reduced. Hogdon actually list a subsonic load w/ 8 grs of TG over a 168smk.

I've used Bullseye for many years for such loads and it has always worked well, but I have tested Tightgroup in the Ought Six, 7.5mm Swiss and the 32 Special recently. While it is "almost" as good as Bullseye in these three cartridges, it isn't quite as uniform ballistically and accuracy, while good, has not been quite what Bullseye produces with plain base boolits at about 1,300 fps. Still, If I were running out of Bullseye, I wouldn't hesitate to load my brass with Tightgroup for plinking loads out to 200 yards in these cartridges or any other cartridge of their class. I don't think I can tell the difference between the two powders if shooting off hand, but slinged up prone or off the bench Bullseye seems to have the edge.

Where the Tightgroup has really shined for me though is in the 45/70. I've used it since its introduction to duplicate the 1873 army carbine load, a 405 grain boolit at 1,100 fps. In this application it rivals black powder for consistency and accuracy is first rate through several hundred yards.

Thanks guys !!!!

I was thinking some place between 3 and 4 grains so thinking starting at 3.4 to 3.8 and see how that works with TiteGroup.

I have used Bullseye, red dot, and 700x in light loads.

As Scharfschuetze mentions TiteGroup isn't quite as good as Bullseye, especially with the lower end loads. However, it should still produce shootable accuracy.

Thanks Larry I'm still on the look out for more Bullseye and will switch back when I find it.
