Meister apparently does not make slug kits any more for the 6.5 and 7mm bore sizes. Any suggestions for substitutes. I have heard that the old style line sinker weights will work but I cannot find them in our local Cabelas store. Any suggestions for sinker size for 6.5mm and 7 mm, as well as a source?
Thanks
Greg

The sinkers are egg shaped and have a hole in the middle. Most any walmart or sporting goods store that sells fishing supplies should have them!

When buying slip egg sinkers make sure they are pure lead as some brands have a Pb/antimony alloy that is harder than WW. Take a Micrometer or dial caliper with you to check the sinkers diameter.

I just use pure lead and drop it from the mold.
When I first get a mold, I run perhaps a dozen drops with it with pure lead for slugging purposes. I mark the caliber intended and then I can use them to slug bores and throats.
Why go buy sinkers when I have a bunch of lead laying around? After you get your measurements, drop them in the pot and go on with life.
