took a deer with home cast ball

Well I didn't exactly (don't hunt; too much like work for my taste) but I cast some balls for my buddy's smoke pole and he just took a deer with it Friday.

He even promised me some meat.:mrgreen:

Good deal. Muzzle loader hunting is fun. Our muzzle loader season is going on right now here in Kansas, but I haven't killed one yet.

It is a good feeling when one takes a game animal with homebrewed ammo. My first elk was shot with a 70's era H&R Huntsman in 58 caliber roundball.

Hope you get some meat, Carol just made a big pot of stew. Season opens soon so I have to get the freezer down from last year. I just don't know where the year went!
