Someone posted a similar post about the price of wheel weights, and I am curious about pure/or near pure sheet lead that has been recycled. I have found a source that has sheet lead that has been turned in to this recycler. what is a fair price to pay for this?

It looks like flashing and old shower pan lead mixed with lead pipe.

Is it dirty, oxided up, or paint covered? If clean, would bring a better $$. Pure clean Pb ingots go for around a buck a pound.

If you want to sell it on here then less than 50 cents a pound but it does seam to get more than a buck a pound like wheel weights gets.

If for personal use then what ever you feel like paying.

from the recycler or before it gets to them?
if it's before it gets to them just pay what they pay [probably around 40 cents]
after it gets there you will pay spot price [about 94-95 cents] unless you buy a ton at a time.

either way I would get and stay on the good side of whomever has it.

Unless you shoot A LOT, $1 a lb is very fair.

I tried casting some conicals to sell on craigslist.... no one shoots traditional rifles here anymore. I still do.

Here lead salvaged from X-Ray room construction sells for $.50 /lb. at the local recycler.
