Here's the photos of the Colt New Service I discussed in a previous thread. I am pretty pleased with it. It has target sights added and I will use it for our informal bullseye shoot we have at the local range. Thanks for the load information and I will post some range results soon!

This rework is a much better done example than one specimen at a local shop I saw just before I moved. S&W 38/44 x 4", with rooney-gun adjustable sights added on. Never mind, said I.

I'm probably too much of a S&W lover in this respect, but Colt DA revolvers hold virtually no attraction for me whatsoever... unless they are from the New Service Series! These are some big honking' guns with their own special kind of appeal. It looks like the post-factory rear sights on that one might have come from Springfield. I'd love to see more and more detailed photos of this gun; it looks intriguing. 8-)
