I have an Ideal 40043 that throws a 180gr bullet and I like the shape and design of it, but the particular gun needs a 165gr bullet.
Requirements other than weight are a nice, rounded ogive, preferably a round nose, but a flat meplat will work if the ogive has a generous radius. A truncated cone design simply will not work. The bullet needs to be capable of being loaded out to an OAL of at least 1.180. without the first driving band preventing the round from chambering.
So ... any ideas for me? I am open to all suggestions.
P.S. availability in a 4-cavity design would be a HUGE plus. Mould cost is not an object.
