So I look up linotype for bullet casting and find that Midway sells it....$28.49 for 7 lbs.! Is this standard price now? What does that make my 30-40 lbs. of linotype worth? I'm going to just start casting, so how exactly do I use this when casting hunting/target bullets for a .357 Maximum from a 15" Encore? We bought the linotype years ago for $.02/lb. when the local paper shut down and have used the pigs for various purposes when extra weight is needed, but now I want to use it for bullet casting. I know where we have another 70 lbs. worth as well. Does one alloy it with wheel weights or is the WW alloy just right for my purposes? I've heard mix it 1-1 ratio with pure lead for a good hunting bullet alloy. Thoughts? Opinions?
