I found this tool in a box of stuff I had up in my closet and at first thought it was a bullet puller but now know it is not that and have no idea what it is or used for, hoping someone can identify it and tell me. Thanks in advance.

Making a guess here but it looks like a primer pocket swage die. The reason for the handle is so you can compensate for different web thicknesses if you are using several different headstamps. If using sorted by headstamp cases then the punch cold be locked with the lock nut. Somewhere, hopefully, you have the button that goes into the ram in place of the shell holder and does the "ironing" out of the primer pocket crimp.

No, this is all I have of the tool. I didn't find any other pieces that look as if they went with it. This was in a clear plastic back wrapped in wax type paper but nothing else was in the bag. Guess it isn't worth much without the other pieces, just a paper weight. Guess it will go in the scrap pile to go to the recycler. Thanks for the information.

I wouldn't be so hasty, someone here will identify it and perhaps make you an offer.

I would be more than happy to sell it to someone if they need it, I have no use for it as I am selling off all that I have.

It is a RCBS primer pocket crimp removal tool for the old A and A2 presses. Probably work for some of the other early models. There is a post that fits down in the main ram pocket that the shell is inverted on and as the ram is raised up the primer pocket is forced into the bottom of the tool you have pictured swaging the crimp out. I have one for large and small primers and it works very well.
