Special Order Lee FCD 35 Remington Short

I special ordered what I called a 35 Remington Short FCD from Lee on 8/18 and got it today. That seems like pretty decent service to me. Now I can crimp my load that I hope to use this Indiana Deer season.

I haven't special ordered any FCDs from Lee, but I'm a big fan of those FCDs in general. They work great for both rifle and pistol.

I loaded up 5 rounds of two different loads and crimped with FCD. 23 and 24 grains of Acc 5744. 23 grains seems to be what this rifle likes. The last time I did this load with 23 gns in a full-length case, I got 1714 fps. I did not chronograph these but I think the accuracy is good enough to hunt with it. The alloy was WW +2%Tin. One more trip to the range to adjust elevation.
