Well. I was lucky enough to find some Goex FFFFG BP the other day. The problem I'm having is what can I use it for? Ha. I know I prob could not work up a load for my 577/450 but can it be used in a smaller case like a 32/20? The only thing I would worry about at first is not the grouping but just don't want to blow me and gun up. It's in opened now but would love to find a FtF in my area that has some ffg/fffg, that needs ffffg.

Look for a muzzle loading club in your area and see if any of them use flintlocks.

That's a good idea Charlie. If I can find a way to use it in 32/20 or just 32 cal I will keep it for my flinters.

ffff is pan powder for priming pans on flintlocks. A very little goes a long ways. If you have flint locks save it for priming powder, if not trade it for 2f perferably or 3f if thats all thats available.

If I can't find a local trade, I will keep it for my flintlocks. I'm sure it won't go to waste. Thanks Country Gent.

That's the second time you have made that statement, in almost identical words.
Out of curiosity, what have you been using in your flintlocks before this?

The last time I shot them I was with some other shooters that had the ffffg for the pans.
