.45acp Taurus Tracker

I bought one of these over ten years ago impressed with its features and favorable write-ups. I've been quite happy with it. Shortly after that, Taurus discontinued this model in .45 acp, though as we know, it continues in all the other calibers.

My question is: Why was it discontinued? Does anyone know? My guess is that the five shot moon clips were too fragile, and unlike any other similar device. The revolver was also designed so that it cannot use .45 auto rims. Did this doom it?

I missed the boat on this gun. I looked for one after they discontinued it but couldn't find one for what I was willing to pay for it.
I contacted Taurus regarding starting production again and they told me that previous sales did not justify more production.
