Ok, I have maybe 15 different reloading books (along with Lymans Cast bullet book #3) but I have not found data specific to the boolit I like (RCBS 35-200) does anyone have any good starting and ending loads for this boolit in a Marlin 336A (ballard rifling)

I have:
IMR-3031
IMR-4064
IMR-4350
IMR-4320
IMR-4831
RL22
RL25
H322
Unique
Varget
2400
and some pistol powders like
700X and 800X, titegroup

Oh, How is the new Lyman Cast #4? does it have better data for the boolits we use more? If so I will buy it.

Thanks,
Tim

9g 700x or 11g of unique are all I know about from your list of powders.

The only two powders I have tried in my .35 Remington are 3031 and H335. H335 had a slight edge in accuracy so that is what I went with, still haven't chronoed the load I am using.

From your powder list, I would start low and work up with 3031 and H322.

Frankly, I am not all that impressed with the Lyman #4, but it does have some newer data. If you can find a copy to browse before buying, I recommend that.

Is Castpics not working? it gives me an error:

"Failed to connect to sundog5_LoadData at mysql1.hostica.com. Error: mysqlnd cannot connect to MySQL 4.1+ using the old insecure authentication. Please use an administration tool to reset your password with the command SET PASSWORD = PASSWORD('your_existing_password'). This will store a new, and more secure, hash value in mysql.user. If this user is used in other scripts executed by PHP 5.2 or earlier you might need to remove the old-passwords flag from your my.cnf file"

IMR3031!

Look no further! Use enough to push a straight WW boolit to 2050 to 2100 and you'll fill your tag.

Performance is identical to Rem CorLoct or Win Power Point ammo.

From the RCBS Cast Bullet Manual number 1:
H380 39gr = 1819 41gr = 1907
4320 35gr = 1892 37gr = 2005
748 33gr = 1653 35gr = 1761
HERCO 11gr = 1333 13gr = 1564
The H380 and 748 loads use CCI 250 magnum primers.

Doc, your powder list starts with IMR 3031. IMO you can stop right there. 3031 and Winchester 748 is all that I've ever used in the 35 Remington, and the only boolits I've loaded in that caliber are the RCBS 35-200 and the Lyman 358315. Over the years I've loaded for several Marlins--most of them microgroove. Both boolits seemed to work equally well--very well in fact. In recent years I've stuck with the RCBS boolit, and now that Remington seems to have stopped offering their 200 grain Coreloct as a component, I could care less. I have my mold, some cans of 3031 and 748, and I figure I'm good to go deer hunting for the rest of my days on this earth.

+1 on 3031 in my 336 with the RCBS 35-200 boolits works great. for a plinking load ( and I know it is not on your list ) 10gr red dot works really well
