Can the Midway .35 Whelen barrels be set back for 358 Win?
Would there be enough bbl thread left over for this?
For a mauser action.

Can't answer your question about the midway barrels but I thought you might want to check out Shaw and just get what you want for probably the same money.

I'll try to remember to pull mine out tomorrow and take a few measurements, but I think so. Basically you wack off the existing threads which SHOULD shorten the chamber enough for a clean out with the 358 Win reamer and I think there is enough meat on the chamber end of the barrel for a Mauser LR rethread.....

just off the top of my head, I can't see why not

you are not deepening the chamber by any significant amount, and the chamber area should be ample for the pressures.... even with new threads
