I grabbed 1500 .45 cases today at a show to start loading for my new 1911. I wound up needing to sort them and have several hundred (300-400) small primer and the rest large primer. At $30/750 casings which had already been tumbled, it was worth the sorting.
Aside from switching the primer setup over to the large primer/small primer, everything else should remain the same, correct? All dies, powder measure, seating depth, etc.? Assuming that I am already doing 9mm and .40S&W, wouldn't small primer .45 actually be an advantage? The small primer was all federal and blazer.
Appreciate any insight.
