I just picked up a lot of powder in different grades, there are 4 cans of
goex 'cartridge" I'm not familiar with, where does it fall in the "g" scale as compared to
the others? Havent yet discovered the info when searched for.
I checked the net and see that it is discontinued along with the batch of Pinnacle that came too.
The Pinnacle is graded so no issue there.

thanks

Cartridge is about 1 1/2 fg. Some would use it in larger caliber ML but it was made for cartridges like the 45-70, 45-90, 45-100, 50 Sharps etc.

Thanks, it looks a lot shinier than 2fg, a coating maybe?

It's graphite. The Express line has much shinier granules too.

Quite a few of us were highly ticked off when they stopped making it a couple of years ago.

Well, maybe I'll keep it and send the other stuff down the road. BP is not my primary interest,
but its never bad to have a supply of test components on hand.

Most of the BP I use goes into the 2.5" Coston, and it's not fussy. I think the Pyrodex will be marked for the biggun,
as I can clean it with the garden hose and bottle brush....

Cartridge was a very accurate powder, no great shakes on velocity, it works really well in the various 50's and the 44 bottlenecks.
