Contender pistol will not cock

Contender (1976) will not cock. HELP PLEASE

Check the adjustable trigger. Too light and it won't hold. Of course, there may be tons of other reasons, but I'd check that first.

Also, check the locking lugs. that got me once myself. Did you try it with different barrels to see if it is a certain barrel or the action?

Best advice I can give you is go to Mike Bellm's web site. TONS of T/C info there even info for your concern. He specializes in T/C .

I think if its an original contender you have to open the action every time to re cock the gun. I am NOT a hundred percent sure on this. My first thoughts are that the locking lugs are not protruding far enough back into the action.
