Hi, anyone shooting a Discovery 22 with the aftermarket regulator in it? Specifically wondering about usuable shots at 35 yards or under with the 14.3 premier, but anything you got would be helpful. Thanks

Not shooting one with the regulator in it, but am shooting one with a double air tube from discos r us.
here is the chrono numbers. With a max flow valve, 14.3 Crosmans, and the velocity adjuster all the way out.
40 shots under 1 inch at 25 yards.

Hope per you find it useful.

I don't have a Dicso, but two of my friends have reg'd them with 13 ci bottles. Reg pressure set around 1k6 psi. Shot count on one is 60 and the other slightly higher. The tank gets taken to 3k of course. Spread is very tight. Very worth it IMO. I chose Marauders, and bottled them with 500cc tanks. Those are now getting fitted with JDS regulators( not mine; there were a few others that got kits to bottle from me when I made a few ).
cheers,
Douglas

Pakprotector, beautiful rifle, kinda Rapid 7 syle, I like! I like the Disco for the light weight and low cost, efficient function. I have other "big" air rifles and a Crossman 160 from the 60s. Always wanted to put a HP tube on a 160 (QB78) for a lite hunting rifle, Crossman done it for me! I want to see if I can get it more efficient with a reg and shoot it about 750fps or so with a Premier for squirrels and such. I have a HP pump for other airguns and like the idea of a 1600psi reg setting, more shots per pump event.
45 Bravo, were you happy with discos r us, kinda thinking these may be fun to "tweek" in more ways than I initially thouht. Thanks for chrono info.
I think you are both running them harder than I seek, I am seeking the "sweet spot" on the shots per charge vs power graph. As long as it's above 700fps I'm happy based on past experience with a 20cal S200. Wanted a reg in that thing , just didn't want topart with cash for it at the time. The Disco got me thinking on this again, then I saw the regs for a good price :)
I think you
