I broke a decapping rod in one of my Herters dies and was wondering if anyone knew if parts were still available from somewhere. I did a Google search but came up with nothing. Thanks in advance.

Decapping pin or the actual rod itself?

The actual decapping rod and a pin. The rod is bent in three different directions.

Some of the calibers of the complete Herters resizing die decapping rod assemblies will interchange with some of the calibers of the complete CH resizing die decapping rod assemblies. And with each other. Some of the RCBS dcapping rods (the ones threaded 1/4 NF threads) will, with the proper size RCBS threaded bushing, fit and function in the Herters resizing die. You will also need a 1/4 inch NF nut or krnuled lock nut to lock the rod in position. The RCBS "smooth" recapping rods (using the tapered thread retaining bushing) will not interchange. You may have to get the RCBS expander "ball" of the proper caliber.

Thank you sir, they are going to actually make me the entire decapping rod and send me 5 extra pins for $10, can't beat that with a stick!

found what I needed at CH4D.

When dealing with C&H4D it is not necessary to get used to the answer 'no', they are something like a 'the buck stops here' company.

And, you are welcome.

People who don't know about CH4D are missing out. Nice folks who help you . They came up with a 50 cent part needed to get an old press I bought working. They were so nice, I ordered some other stuff just so they could make a dollar or two on that order. They acted like that 50 cent part order was just as important as a 50 dollar order.

Wish I could Help, but all my dies are either C&E, Redding or RCBS
