Looks like my jug of spent primers. Where do they come from?...Did I bust all those caps?

I never count the dead ones just the live one's I've used. Had about a 3 gallon pail when I changed states - I used to could shoot some.

To beat all I don't know how many I've thrown away. We've busted a bunch no doubt.

I save my spent primers as well ! I currently have about a 1/4 full gallon bottle, and up until a few years ago before i scrapped about 2 gallons of spent primers , got scrap brass prices for them about $2.00 a lb

Impressive if that's from one session. Otherwise, it's not too uncommon.

I do the same thing I keep shot shell primers in a different bottle; I got the idea from a older skeet shooter who saved all of his spent shotshell primers as a method of round count.

Looks normal 'round here!

Easier way to keep a tally is by the HUNDREDS (OMG!) of empty primer boxes!!!!!!!!!!

Every one I pop out I replace with a good one.

I had that problem. But I went to the scrapyard a few weeks ago. No more full bottle and some money in my pocket :)

I would hate to count them. Maybe have a contest and let someone else count emm

I did the same when I shot skeet years ago. I figured I put something like 1300-1400 rounds through my shotgun in 2 summers of shooting.

hey i see a live one in there ......

i washed a bunch ( several times citric acid and all ) and made a shootin' bag out of a empty shot bag , sadly nowadays shot rarely comes in good bags ( darn it )

You can never have too many reloads, unless your cases blow up!http://castboolits.gunloads.com/images/icons/icon6.png

I got about twice that many. In the past year I been doing mostly new brass or already processed brass so I don't have any dead primers

I saw a video on youtube where someone shot them out of his pellet gun. It was funner when he shot live primers.

I bought a metal drink canister, with a screw on top, for a couple bucks. My used primers make a great kayak anchor. This year, I got a 2nd one. They have an opening, on the top, for a rope. I made several lengths of rope, with snap eyes? on the ends, for different depths. All neat and the tops are glued on so as not to contaminate the water, or maybe the primers take awhile to save. :-)

Below Atlanta at the edge of the label is a live one. Don't waste that primer. GO GET IT!!!

Anyone have any idea what a scrapyard will actually pay for that many primers?

I use a coffee can (old style big can) with a tube from my primer disposal. When the can gets full, I tumble in my oldest tumbling media for five minutes, then dump the spent primers in with my unuseable brass that's heading to the scrap yard.
