look up leatherwood/high lux scopes. They make a reproduction long tube for blackpowder rifles.

Here is their main page

There is also a link to some of their distributors

Dixie Gun Works used to catalog some...the mounts weren't real precise.

The good ones have steel tubes and brass or steel fittings. The brass mounts aren't real durable.

RHO Instruments makes a nice one....for about $1000.

The SERIOUS black powder cartridge rifle shooters...national level competitors and us wanna-bes...use Montana Vintage Arms and some less well known manufacturers. MVA makes some excellent sights for the Sharps replicas and has an excellent reputation. Their telescopes, mounts and bases are super precise. Cost is also close to $1000. I had bases for a MVA installed when my SHILOH SHARPS was built.....at 59, I know there's a scope in my future.

This is really a situation of getting what you pay for. The good ones are expensive and the lesser items are....I like the looks of the scopes and I want something that I can use for a long time.
