View Full Version : Anyone familiar with these?
115184 I had this complete box given to me yesterday. They are copper plated. I've shot 2 of them and they seem pretty warm coming out of my rifle

I shot a LOT of those copper plated bullets years ago. They were ALMOST the same as jacketed slugs. They SEEMED to be a bit harder than uncoated versions ,though! Killed deer and sillywets quite well in all the calibers I tried. Since the price was right, I'd try them with some different powders.

I think he's asking about the loaded ammo, since he mentioned "hot". We need to see more of the packaging to say anything.

The small label reads PMC 44 Rem mag. Sound like PMC 240 grain factory loads.
The rest of the box is just the PMC logo and warnings. There's not any velocities listed. The pic I posted has the most info

Winchester used to load a very similar bullet in their .44 mags. I've fired a few of those.
I thought they were pretty interesting. I'll chrono them out of my pistol and rifle both. I figure they're probably about 20yrs old

Winchester sold ammo loaded with copper plated bullets for the 357 Mag known as Lubaloy.
They leaded most 357s very badly.....dale

PMC - Pan Metal Corporation a Korean company with a facility just outside of Boulder City NV. Not sure if it is still there I stopped by for a tour several years ago. When I bought a S&W M 58 the seller had 1/2 box of similar ammo in 41 mag. I only fired a cylinder full and they seamed pretty hot; flat primers, sticky ejection.
