45 acp Cast SWC-HP

Hey guys in need of some info. Im looking to load 45 acp with a 200 grn swc-hp and this is my first attempt at loading my own cast. Does it need to size to .452 or .451 for cast for the acp?

hello Stacy !! as a measure of the slug your barrel 45 acp?I use my glock in the lee 200 grs swc boolits with a diameter of 452,and my slug is exactly 452

My mold for that boolit is nominal .453" and I suppose that size was selected to allow sizing at .452". Any way, that is what I do and it works great. I have slugged my barrels and both read .451" on the micrometer, which I believe is most common in 45ACP. If it chambers and plunks, larger is not a problem; yet smaller can be.
