Hi, Can somebody tell me what the H&G #243 mold was designed for, 44mag? I also have just under 150 MM 431 300 secant .431 if someone is interested? I think they are a rifle type? 444 or 45/70?? I have neither, they were bought by my father in law thinking they were for 44 mag. beautiful cast boolits. I am in the SF Bay area in Ca. Thanks

Google Hensley and Gibbs or go to castpics at the bottom of the page. You'll find a chart with their mold numbers and descriptions. If Texas fly boy is handy he'll know off the top of his head.

#243GC-.44 Caliber. 250 grains. Gas check base, one extended rounded grease groove, one crimp groove, Keith-style nose. December 20, 1957. From the H&G website. Sounds like a nice fat 44 mag boolit for some fast loads.
