32 H&R mag barrel

I happened on a Gontender barrell (32 H&R mag) this afternoon on the way back from a plinking session. It is a 10 inch bull with a Weaver 1.5-4x in burris mounts. It is in excellant condition. Got it for $290.00 out the door. Did I do good? Just could not resist. It will go out the next shootiing session to see how it does.

Well let's see a couple of google searches show a new weaver 1.5x4x long eye relief scope costs $215 + shipping
I don't know what the burris mount/rings you have but you seem to have done very well.

Thanks Artful. It seemed to be a good deal to me, Just going by what I have seen barrels and scoes going for. Haven't seen any 32 mag barrells for sale. J couldn't pass on it. Joins the rest of my 32s.

Like the 32-20 bbl's T/C uses a .308 bore Dia. Bbl. Just slug the throat to confirm what you need to size your cast bullets at.

You did very well indeed! I thoroughly enjoy shooting my own .32 H&R Contender. I don't load special for it but use the same loads as I use in my Ruger Single Six. I use both .314 and .312 sized bullets and they chamber and shoot very well. I use Starline cases.

I figure I will use my regular loads and see how they do. On a side note I picked up a MGM 30-40 Krag 24" Contender barrell this afternoon. Came with dies and 100pcs of brass. So much for extra fun money.

Going to see how it fits on my carbine fram Has 30-30 barrell on it now.

If you don't have any heavyweights to try in it I would trade you some NOE 115 ' s for some more of those RCBS .32 ' s you cast up for me a while back. I am loving the 115 ' s though, particularly with h110.

It has been over 3 years since I traded those swc. What is the shape of the NOE mould and is it a plain base? I have a Lyman 311359 I am going to try. It is a pointed 115gr. gc. Cast big enough to use in the 32.
