I am looking for a good beginner "lathe" forum.
I have a 9x20 Central Machine, I have unlimited access to. :)
anyone know of a good one I could frequent to ask rookie questions and get some good reading on?

Well one to avoid is the practicle machinist .
Mention your little 9x20 and you will likely last about as long as i did ... less then 24 hours
Not a real friendly group when it comes to the hobby machinist

Ive had good luck on practical machinist, little slow on replies. Most are pretty tight lipped. 13x42 south bend here.

Also check the local colledges and trade schools for night school classes in machine trades. Hands on learning on thier machines. Alot of knowledge available through them.
