recently scored 100 rounds of 45 -70 once fired at ta yard sale for 22 bucks :)

It is head stamped "45-70 Magnum lever Gun"- I assume Buffalo Bore brass.
It has the small primer pockets, use small rifle primers? magnun? Any variations
in load data from regular brass with large rifle primers?

In my experimentation this far, I have found that small magnum primers approximate large standards, so for as velocity, in .45 ACP. Have not tried the substitution in rifle ammo.

What kind of powder and loads are you wanting to load?

Strange puppies! Might need care choosing a powder to get sure ignition. Be interesting to see what you come up with. Make sure every shot exits.
