Does anyone have a suggestion for a good lube for use in a Lyman 450 sizer? I will be running 9mm thru it. What do you guys use for your auto's ?

The only Lube I have ever used is LBT Blue and have no leading problems with any pistol I shoot. That doesn't mean others aren't ok too. I use a Star Sizer but that shouldn't have anything to do with the quality of the lube.

You should also check out White Labels excellent range of boolit lubes, another long time member here and Vendor Sponsor.

I use BAC from White Label Lubes. It's done well for me, and they're good folks to deal with. They make a good product at a fair price. My buddy uses the 50/50 lube from White Label Lubes and swears by it. He loads .357 mag and .44 mag using it. He's happy with it, and just ordered more.

I use a star heater with the star lube sizer. The star heater is adjustable as necessary depending on how much heat is needed.

but that in no way reflects on the OP's post [shrugz] and in this case it can matter ( in yours too i suppose if you're trying to use a hard lube and your heater suddenly goes belly up ...murphy's law and all that )

Another vote for BAC from White Label Lubes. Great product and nice to deal with. Also you do not need a heater for this one

White label BAC no heater, cr with heater. Randy's tac1, no heater if its hot in your garage, a little heat if it dips below 85.

And there is also the original Speed Green and Lotak available from the friendly, intelligent, and exceedingly handsome Bullshop.
Flows smoothly through a sizer even at 40+* below normal human body temp so you can have been dead for several hours and lube temp will not be your BIG PROBLEM.

BAC and the NRA 50/50 lubes from Lars (White Label) are excellent, don't need a heater, and will do very nicely for you 9mm and 95%+ of any other cast bullet needs.

no heater, do I need one?

depends upon the lube and the current temp where you're sizing at , never fear however if needed a heat lamp, blow dryer/heat gun etc can all be implemented to give a bit of heat , at room temp with BAC you shouldnt need heat but with carnuba red or say lyman's orange magic you would , another way to look at is if you prefer hard or soft lubes, most hard lubes need heat while soft ones do not ,many prefer soft ,some ,such as myself in my blast furnace summers ,prefer medium to hard ( give or take i'm a couple states straight west of you but ... you have trees and hills and i'm on the open wind scoured plains that used to be known as "the great american desert" ), for winter i'd recommend bac or speed green but as for your summer ....i dont know how hot it gets , i use alot of a variation of FWWFL i make myself so i can control it for seasonal use ( softer for winter harder for summer )
