Hi all,

Hoping someone can help with the following. I have just got some 535gn commercial coated cast bullets that I'm hoping to run in my 458Lott. This is for club use, and I need to have 3,900ft/lb of energy for the class, which by my math means they have to be doing at least 1850fps, though the bullet is supposedly OK to 2000fps.

Can anyone suggesting a starting point on loads, as I can't find anything for this combination? Ideally with H4895, but anything Hodgdon or Alliant is OK, or Viht at a push. Other powders are almost impossible to get here.

Many thanks!

I used some of those in my 458wm, I used 45/90 data as I wanted a lighter load the load I used was 44gr 2207 and it shot a group of under an inch at 100mtrs, I would be guessing the velocity at around 1700fps. If I was in your shoes I would look at 45/120 data and see where your at and work you way up.
