I have the oppotunitiy to purchase some of these bullets. I was wondering if anyone here used them?, and what members opinions of this bullet are as well.? If I do buy them I'll be using them in my S&W M10. However I don't have loading data for this bullet. Anyone have any recipies with this bullet and Unique.?:coffee:

Since it is a 158 gr. cast bullet , just about any loading data ( safe factory load data , ie...Lyman, Hornady, Speer, etc ) should work fine with that bullet.
This is Alliant Data :

Remarks: 15,600 psi

158gr. LSWC , Unique 4.3 grs., Vel - 920 fps

Thanks Ben, My gunsmith who is casting these bullets stated that they run around 164gr with his alloy. I never seen this bullet before until he showed it to me, I didn't know it was supposed to cast at 158gr.

A 6 grain difference in bullet weight with " reasonable mid range loads " is statistically insignificant.

I've only been casting for about a year but this is what I have learned. For light to mid range loads, the 358665 has been the most accurate cast boolit out of my 357's. In my SW 640 with a five in. bbl I shoot five gr. unigue. This gr. weight has out shot 5.3, all the way up to 6gr. I did not plan on 6gr. as a regular load, but just wanted to see what accuracy would be. The SW 66 with a 4" bbl will shoot accurately with up to 6gr. unigue, but I keep it at 5.5 out of concern for it's longevity, Now, my ruger GP100 shoots really well with 6gr of unigue and since it's built like a tank I would have no fear of taking it to the max.
After 6gr. accuracy totally tanks. This I believe is a result of some gas cutting caused by the boolit having a slight bevel base. To test this theory I'm going to buy another two cavity{I currently am using a four cavity] and have the bevel removed. This I think? will allow me to shoot higher velocity loads through my ruger. For powders I have tried clays, tightgroup, hs6, 2400 and hp38 but for me, good old unigue has worked the best.
Not to brag, but to emphasize that I'm anal when comes to accuracy, I have cast, loaded and shot in excess of 5000 358665's this year {I quit counting after 150 lbs of alloy} along with 358477, laser cast commercial, and some boolits from a old cramer #14 which throws a 155gr. swcgc.
In all fairness though, the 358156 shoots every bit as good, but only at higher pressure and velocity Since most of my shooting with handguns is fairly close range, I try to avoid the gc requried on the 358156 boolit
Thanks for allowing me, a newb to answer some of your questions,
